Hello all,

I have ALV Grid output using FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY.

The list I am getting is eg.

Order AdSpec BUnit PDate

10001 1 CLSOTHFRZ 06/30/2009

10002 1 CLSOTHFRZ 06/30/2009

10003 1 CLSOTHFRZ 06/30/2009

10004 1 CLSOTHFRZ 06/30/2009

My requirement is to get the list as below.

Order AdSpec BUnit PDate

10001 1 CLSOTHFRZ 06/30/2009

1 CLSOTHFRZ 06/30/2009

10002 1 CLSOTHFRZ 06/30/2009

1 CLSOTHFRZ 06/30/2009

10003 1 CLSOTHFRZ 06/30/2009

1 CLSOTHFRZ 06/30/2009

10004 1 CLSOTHFRZ 06/30/2009

Let me know how to achieve this.

Best to handle this with a display variant.

as per my understanding Field catalog can not be changed dynamically. If you want to display records in different formats then you need to have char field in the fieldcatalog and data internal table.

In the list given above, the only requirement is, I want the Unique Orders to show. Currently it shows me the duplicate orders as well.

Can we achieve this using layout ?

Rob,

I am submitting a background job and then sending an email with the list converted to pdf as an attachment.

Can we do this using a display variant even for background job ?

You can pick a display variant in the program, but running ALV grids in the background may not give good results. Maybe try an ALV list instead.
