We have many ALV reports. Printing that is either printing junk characters, or cutting off the columns on the right.
We have not passed any parameters to the REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY for printing.
And are using the standard print button on the standard toolbar.
Can advise what is going wrong? Do we need to do some settings in printer?
Thanks in adv.

The bad characters could be printer misconfiguration, check with your basis if it's the correct printer and driver. The dissapearing columns on the right are most probably due to the ALV lenght exceding the printing area.

Hi,
Please tell which printer you are using, i mean is it a dot-matrix or laser.

Hi Aishi,
U said u get some junk characters while printing a alv, this issue is with the printer pool , that has nothing to do with the ALV.
Ur second issue is some collums get cut off while u print the ALV,
For this i will advice u to go to printer properties as Click on start-->>Go to Control Panel---> go to printer and faxes.
Right click the printer u r using--->>> go to Properties-->>>Select Printing Preferences and see the page u r using.
U have to change the Page to an another Page which is more wider, for example if u use a DOT-MATRIX printer this is a comman issue which u r facing, as the default page is of size A4, but all in most of the cases we develop ALV reports for a A3 or even more wider page's so we select A3 fo the same and printing goes fine.
U can try doing this, i guess ur issue will get resolved.
