ALV grid

Hi

I have a problem with ALV grid (oops). This is the scenario

I have two push buttons PB1 and PB2 on the application tool bar.

i kept a container and subscreen area on screen 100 . On the container i have built a tree. When i click on button PB1 subscreen 100 (which has a custom container) is called. Then when i click on an item of the tree alv is built and data is displayed . When i click on PB2 i am calling some other subscreen. But, when i am clicking PB1 again without clicking any item on the tree, the data on the ALV grid ( data being picked earlier) is still being displayed. What i want is, when i am clicking PB1 again the grid should be empty.

i have used CALL METHOD g_grtol1->refresh_table_display.

i have also used CALL METHOD g_grtol1->free, but now entire grid disappeared, but what i want is the grid should be there with out any data

but no use.

please suggest me some solution it's urgent

regards

badri

You should empty your output table and call this method CALL METHOD g_grtol1->refresh_table_display.

LIKE:

REFRESH IT_OUT.
CALL METHOD g_grtol1->refresh_table_display

It will dispaly you a empty ALV.

Hello Badri

Have a look at sample report ZUS_SDN_TWO_ALV_GRIDS.

If you double-click on an existing customer (in first ALV list) its master sales data are displayed in the second ALV list.

If you double-click on the dummy customer the second ALV list will be empty.

Simply think of these two different double-clicks as corresponding events to your two push buttons. However, it would be more user-friendly if you simply implement the double-click event for your tree, too. If the user double-clicks on an item the ALV list is filled otherwise cleared.
