ALV editing problem(+)

Hello,

I'm using 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' to display and edit table represented in ALV format. I also use custom 'USER_COMMAND' routine, with my own GUI-status. When I edit some value in ALV, and then press one of my custom buttons (without pressing ENTER or TAB), value in the cell remains unchanged. Event DATA_CHANGED, however, remains untriggered in this case.

How can I overcome this trouble?

In the case of OO-based Grid control the logic is as following:

(1) At PAI call method CHECK_DATA_CHANGED

(2) If data have been edited in the Grid control then event DATA_CHANGED is fired.

(3) In the event-handler methods for DATA_CHANGED any validations can be done.

(4) Ensure that PAI is passed followed by PBO (otherwise the values in the editable Grid control remain unchanged).

Perhaps in your case you do not pass PAI followed by PBO. You can force this by calling CL_GUI_CFW=>SET_NEW_OK_CODE. You don't have to handle this ok-code in PAI at all. It's just required to pass PAI.
