ALE Material Transfer

I am attempting to transfer material master data from our production system to development, but seem to be missing a piece of something.

When I use transaction BD10 (Material Send) I get the following message: "0 communication IDoc(s) generated for message type MATMAS". This process should have generated an outbound Idoc but it doesn't.

The test uses 1 material and at first appears as if it will work "1 master IDocs set up for message type MATMAS". But then the above message appears and no Idoc is created.

Any ideas?

Hi Jim,

Could you please check whether the partner profile exists for both the system also confirm whether the distribution model has been distributed from prod system to dev system.

Hi Jim,

If Zero Communication idoc generated means, it is not able to find out partnersystem, otherwise it is successfull.

Hi Abdul,

I believe the partner profile is setup properly only because it contains other inbound and outbound message types that are working. (background: partner type LS, number MQTEST, message type MATMAS, basic MATMAS01, receiver port A000000015 which points to the TCP/IP connection which is active).

The distribution model I am unsure about. I see one of the outbound message types defined, but no other type. But how are the other messge types working? I am not sure. I will try to research more.
