Hi all,

I need to transfer the material data from one server to another server.

for example one server with user name S1 and client 800. and another server of username D1 and client 800.

In the define logical system I gave two names with description.

In the assign client to logical system - both server of client 800.

then how to assign for this one?

so how to assign the client to both logical system and to do the further processing

kindly do the needful.

Pts will be awarded.

Regards,

vinoth.

Hi,

Maintain the same Logical system in the receiver client, so now sending system will be S1 and receiving system also S1, only RFC destinations will change.

Hi Vinoth

Follow the sequence in transaction SALE.

You need to maintain the RFC destination in both the servers using Transaction Code SM59.

Hope this Helps.

Hi santosh,

whether only one logical system is enough for both the servers (S1 and D1) of client 800?

this is done in s1 server - 800 client.

in BD54 - defining the logical system

zs1 - s1 800 logical sytem

zd1 - d1 800 logical system.

in tcode scc4 - assign client to logical system

client logical sytem

800 - zs1.

then what should be done for

D1 server - 800 client.

1. define logical sytem - how to do this

2. assign client - how to do this?

Hi Vinoth

You need to repeat the same process with the D1 server as well.create a logical system with the same name as that of S1 sever in client 800 of D1 server.

hi,

sending client user name S1 and client 800.

Receiving client user name D1 and client 800.

please fallow this procedure:

in user name S1 and client 800.

sale -> create logical system.

u need to maintain 2 names , one for this client and other for the receiving client.

Repeat the same ( use the same names) in the receiving client. (u need to maintain logical system names of both in both clents as u r transfering between two diff servers)

 assign logical system.

Assign the logical system for this user name S1 and client 800…

Log on to receiving client do the same there.

 create RFC in the sending client…

and fallow the other steps as usual…

for any quarry revert back,

Regards,

Satya Prakash.

Hi,

Follow these steps

step1. Goto SM59 to creat a RFC destination select the type of connection R/3 & creat . and fill the details of the receving sys also.[note the name given for destination]

step2.goto WE21 for defining ports.select Transactional RFC type & creat.give the values & remember the port name.give the RFC destination name.

step3.goto BD54 for creating the logical systems.specify the sending systems & reciving systemnames.

step4.goto SCC4 for assigning the logical systems .goto for 800 &configure the LS as our working system.

step5.goto WE20 for cerating the partner profile.select the LS & creat.give the partner name , type & user.(partner name is the reciving system name (when creating the LS)) & save then.Assign a Massage type to the outbound parameter in the same transaction for that partner.

step6.goto BD64,Distribution model.creat a new model & name it and save it then assign a message type to it & then save and goto Environment and Generate partner profile see that everything is fine .

step7.goto clint 810.goto WE20 for creating a partner profile.give the name of the sending system &save.Define the Inbound parameter massage type there and save .

step8.come back to clint 800.goto BD10 for Matmas..give the material name &say execute.

step9.to confirm whether Idoc has been sent or not , goto WE02.click on appropriate massege type and select the status button.the status should be 12,if it has been sent .

step10.goto SE38,RBDMOIND & execute .sothat the Idoc from the port passes to the Receving system.now goto WE02, see the status ,it is 12.step11.goto 810 client,& WE02 check the status it should be 53.

Hi Mansoor,

I Need to transfer data from one application server to another application server with client 800.

one application server - user name- S1- of client 800

Another application server - user name - D1 - client 800.

As you mentioned earlier , to create a same logical sytem in both the server.

I created the same logical system name.

But when creating the model view and during the add message type, we have to give the sender and reciever logical system.

At that time, if we give both sender and reciever logical system of same name then it is not accepting.

can you give the steps for configuring both the servers in breif.

Regards,

vinoth.

Hi Vinoth

I don't know whether you are aware of this link ,if not check it.

/people/kevin.wilson2/blog/2006/11/13/ale-scenario-development-guide

In the sender system create a logical system for the reciever ,

similarly in the receiver system create a logical system for the sender.

if sender system is mapped in receiver system as DEVCLNT800 then let receiver system be mapped in sender system as DEVKLNT100.

If my statements before conveyed anything else I'am extremely sorry for that.

Hi

Do the process like creating, assigning logical system seperately in both servers.

May be you will not face the problem.

Haritha.
