after adding two fields to z table..

I have added the fields to ztable.

How ever, it is of two step TMG,

After adding fields to above ztable, I have adjusted using tcode se14.

I am not able to add fields to the above table ????why so ?

Do I need to go to se11 and create TMG again ?

I tried but I am not able to create new TMG ?

Could you please assist me what to do ?

I have to give it to my functional consultant to add entries into this table.

Can I give it or I will be in trouble if I don't generate TMG after se14... ?

Your help is highly appreciated.

You have to delete the old TMG first and then create a new one.

Hi,

Goto SE54 give the table name and press the change button.

Using the Menupath Generated Objects-> select the check boxNewField and/sec.table structure

Press Enter/Continue

In the Popup Screen select the check box under Maintainance overview Screen as given while genrating TMG and select the check if Normal fields/Ley Fielda and press Enter/Continue.

The TMG get's regenerated.

Hi,

For replicating changes in TMG screen you need to regenereate TMG program.

if you added/deleted fields or changed existing field properties in table you need to readjust table maintanance screen then only changes will replicate in sm30. Go to SE54. follow follwing steps

for regenerating table maintanance program automatically.

1)type your table name in table/view input box

2)Select generated object radio button. it will go to the table maintanance generator screen

3)click on chage button in table maintance screen. it will display popup screen where you need to select appropriate check box for regenerating table maintance program.

finally save .

4)test your chages by executing sm30 or created table transaction

Hello,

After new fields are added to the table having existing entries, the table maintainance Generator has to be recreated. Otherwise, the new fields that are added will not be visible if you are viewing the table entries.

Just delete the TMG and recreate it from T-code SE54.

u can regenerate the TMG by clicking on the change button one pop up will come,check the boxes and activate.

Hi,

After adding the fields through se11. In menu UTILITIES->Database utility-> then press Activate and adjust.

after that go to Table Maintainance generator and delete the TMG and Create again the TMG.

Hi,

If you are modifying a table structure which has a TMG already, you will have to delete the old TMG and create a new one for your modifications to show up on SM30. Also, use SE14 to activate and adjust after making changes to the table structure.
