Adding new fields to th custom segment

Hi all,

I have to add new fields to the custom segment Z1EDPZ1.

Iam getting error msg saying 'Error while resetting release of segment Z1EDPZ1' when I click the cancel release inorder to add new fields in WE31.

what is the release status of the segment which u can see in header?

is it not already released or what ?

segment status is released but its in 4.6c.

Now we are in ECC5.0 Is that any problem?

Sai,

Goto WE31 and give the segment Z1EDPZ1 and press enter. Check the Release flag in the Definitions table control. If that flag is checked, press Cancel release else the segment is not yet released so u can directly change the custom segment.

The release flag is checked.

When iam clicking cancel release its throwing me error.

Any ideas?

Hi Sai,

do one thing first cancel the release of the basic type and then cancel the release of the segment.Now add the fields and release both the segment and the basictype.

also check in the segemnt the version.
