adding new field to bapi segment

I have to edit ( to add new field ) in one bapi segement ( ZBP2080_*** ).

i had copied and tried it in we31 but it is giving a error message des. as below

Diagnosis

Segment type Z1BP2080_AW100 is flagged as generated.

System response

Generated segment types can only be displayed.

so plz can anyone give suggestion how to edit this segment .

Hello,

Try using transaction SPAU. I am not sure but just give a try.

I cannot find the segment mentioned in here. Which version of R3 are you on? Which IDOC type is it?

Is this a custom segment attached to the standard IDOC type SERVICENOTIFICATION_CREATEFR01? If so, you must have created an extension to the this IDOC type. Check if the "Released" checkbox is selected for this segment. If so, you need to "Cancel Release" in WE31 under the menu option "Edit". Then you should be able to edit it.
