adding field to a structure

Hi!

I want to add a field to a standart structure. I have registered this in OSS.

The strange thing is that when I try to activate structure after adding the custom field, it displais warning and sais that this field is existing already, but I can not see it doubled, it is appearing only once... what's happening?

Since the field is already existing, it is not getting added to the structure. So

you cannot see the field getting doubled.

Are you getting a warning message or error message (message highlighted

in red); it must be error message only.

Hi Sajan,

before adding the field, it is not visible, after adding - I can see it, I mean this field.

During activation I get a message that there where some warnings.

When I open the log, I can see a warning with red triangle, that field was existing already...

Any ideas?

Hi,

There might be problem with the naming convensions, can you please le tme know for which table you are trying to append the structure and what exactly your sturcture does have the fields ?

I try to add field ZZWERKS to KOMBZ.

Before the operation KOMBZ has such fields:

KVGR1

KVGR2

KVGR3

KVGR4

KVGR5

After the operation KOMBZ looks like:

KVGR1

KVGR2

KVGR3

KVGR4

KVGR5

ZZWERKS

but with warning that ZZWERKS exists twice....

Hi,

We had the same problem when i was trying to add a new field-ZMRO1 to a structure in SRM. I could not figure out why i was getting that warning. So i just tried without doing anything and it was working fine. It has been 2 months since that happened and everything works fine still.

So my advice is that let SAP give the warning and we will not worry about it.
