Hello,

Can you tell me how can I see in what transport request is a report activated? I am trying to activate a report, I am waiting the popup to ask me in what transport request should I activate, but it didn't show and I don't know what request to release. How can I create a new request ?

Easiest way to findout is to look at the version management, it will tell you the last transport request that was used.

In se38, click Utitlies, Versions, Version Management.

If it is currectly on a unreleased request and you want to put it on a different request, all you need to do is delete it from that request in SE10, then go back to SE38 and modify it, then activate, it will then ask for a new transport request.

You can also to to SE10, then click the tools icon, then double click on the "Search for Objects in Request/Tasks" and click "Execute. Enter your program name in the first line and check the check box, check the checkboxes next to status and execute. The next screen will show the transport requests that the program is tied to.

If it is not asking for any request then this report is already assigned to the request. You can see from Utilities-Version management.

Also from object directory entry-object lock.

Are you sure that your report is assigned to a transportable development class/package? If it is a created as a local object, then you need to change it to a transportable development class/package.

For that, you can go to SE80,in the first drop down on the left side, choose 'Program'. Select the program name and right click and go to the option 'More functions-->Object Directory Entry'. Here change the package.

Thank you all for your answers!

Another question: Can I "reuse" a released transport request for a program? Or the only way is to create a new one for a modification.

Hi George,

You can't re-use a released transport. You have to create a new request and put your changes in that.

Thanks & Regards,

Joseph.
