About ALV

Hi guys,

I am new to ALV, and I am creating report using ALV(not Object,just call FM).

but I don't know how to put the little button on the left up corner for select all.

Take the help of this program:

BCALV_TEST_LIST_STATUS

Select all button on the ALV tool bar comes automatically if you are using standard PF status only.

But to use it you require to add an extra field in your table as first field for catalog type char1.

And in field catalog make it a box.

hmmm i never heard you can use ALV without using OO.

Anyway the little button you are speaking of is a standard functionality of the ALV-grid, so i dont have a clue how you manage it to display an ALV without it.

I´d adivse you to use the ALV-grid in the way it´s designed to (object orientated).

Dont hesitate, sooner or later you GOTTA learn it anyway and besides to call an ALV-grid you need to code about 3-5 lines OO, thats all.

hi Vincent,

this SELECT ALL button comes automatically in ALV output...

you don't need to externally write code for it.

you just need to call Function module <b>REUSE_ALV_LIST_DIPLAY</b> or <b>REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY.</b> depending upon ur requirement.

automaticall ALV will have that button

create ur PF-status as below

1. Goto SE80
2. Give function group as SALV and enter
3. in the below menu , expand GUI_STATUS
4. Right click on STANDARD and copy that to ur program
5, Activate ur Program

Function module to display the ALV report
  CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
   EXPORTING
    I_CALLBACK_PROGRAM                = W_REPID
    I_CALLBACK_PF_STATUS_SET          = 'PF_STATUS'


FORM PF_STATUS using RT_EXTAB TYPE SLIS_T_EXTAB.

  SET PF-STATUS 'STANDARD' .

ENDFORM.                    "PF_STATUS

go to se38

put BCALV* and press F4

you ll find lots of examples related to ALV,check them and use accordingly.
