ABAPrs work?

I wud like to know in implementation process when abapers work starts? and what sort of work they have to perform initially and till the support?

Hi Prasad,

That depends from company to company as how an ABAPer gets work ... usually his work starts from text spec Review and ends at the final testing of an object. Major different phases which he has to undergo are TEXT SPEC REVIEW->DEVELOPMENT->CODE WALK THROUGH -> FINAL TESTING

Hi,

1) write new report,data conversion,transactions

modify existing programs if exist ,develop forms

2) support phase involves fix production bugs,

performance tuning.

Hi Prasad,

ABAPERS role starts in realization phase.u will get the Functional specifications ,then u have to prepare the technical specification(pseudo code writing),then the development of the object,then thre will be code review for ur developed object,then u have to test it and finally deliver the object. usually u get objects such as

reports,data conversions,transactions

developing forms,etc...

If in case my imp kick off date is from AUG of this year what will I be doing till Realization Phase?
