Hello,

I am having a headache installing SAP NetWeaver 7.51. it returns the following message after starting the installation:

"Installation of NPL failed"

I already downloaded the new license valid until March 2019, but it doesn't work as well.

Please help me, i am in urgent need.

Hi Mohamed,

Please search your sap*.log files for error messages and tell us what they are eg :

"sapinstall.log:

ERROR 2018-04-16 13:12:44.561 (root/sapinst) id=modlib.jslib.caughtException errno=MUT-03025

Caught ESAPinstException in module call: Validator of step |offlineadjustment_dialogs|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|offlineadjustment_os_users|ind|ind|ind|ind|osUsers|0|NW_GetDBUserParameter|ind|ind|ind|ind|getDBUserParameter|0|NW_GetUserParameterUnix_syb|ind|ind|ind|ind|syb_unix|0|checkSybaseUser reports an error:"

Please do NOT paste the whole log into the body, just the errors.

Hi Mohamed, Perhaps you can't find the files?

If so, they should be in : /tmp/sapinst_instdir/NW73/SBC/STANDARD/

1. Navigate to this directory.

2. Open each file sap*.log in a text editor.

3. Copy the error messages (not INFO or WARNING) and paste them in here.

Then we can try to help.

I am not using any gui option here.

Same procedure: Please search your sap*.log files for error messages and tell us what they are eg :

"sapinstall.log”

Please don’t send the whole file, just the errors

(Almost all the errors look similar to this.)

Solved , after the 25 new fresh install I did something different apart from deleting all SAP related folders, this was:

- delete sap* files (sapinit) under /etc/init.d/

- delete OS users sapadm npladm sybnpl with Linux command userdel

Solution on my side was to delete the users and create them again. Had to also manually set their password via root user, since password was not a complex one and I guess this is what was blocking sapinst.

Then re-started install.sh and installation went over this step successfully.

I faced this because of an incorrect password value (installing SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP Developer Edition SP02 7.50)

Front side checks for d_nw_sidadm_unix_full returns false: Check input element SIDAdm_Password:
Value does not fulfill max 14 length.

I searched the Q/A,finally got the answer,the password of OS user is too simple.after changed it,I resolved the problem.
