Hi,
I have created table maintenance Generator (SM30) for Z table.
but in debug mode, i check , always variable <action> shows null value.
As per my understanding it should show 'N', 'U' or 'D'.
Can you please let me know how to populate <action> variable in TMG?
Regards,

Maybe you would like to play with "event"
see for ex. :

Just curious, because I had some hard times with that thing... your changes will be lost the next time you re-create the maintenance?
I remember I found a way to make the grid wider, but each time I had to add a field or change anything in the maintenance generator, all the changes I enjoyed making in were lost.
So I surrendered myself to despair and decided to go with the automatically generated version...

The global field symbol <action> of your TMD (Table Maintenance Dialog) code has a meaning only when you loop at the global internal table TOTAL in a TMD Event. <action> is the value in the currently-iterated TOTAL line corresponding to the user's action. The value "N" is set on added lines, before they are saved.

Changes to the screen will be lost. But events are not. I always put my functionalitiy into a class anyway.
new my_event_handler( )->handle_05_event( ).sort of thing - in a Z include.
santosh.b2 I have created table maintenance Generator (SM30) no, you haven't. You've generated a table maintenance (SM30).
