Advantages of ABAP query.

Easy to design the query, no coding required.

Disadvantage.

Summations is not possible on amount fields.

if u mean SQ01 . its no need to write code for view good report

you can join two three .... tables and getting one dump

disadvantage is you cannot use any advanced logics to the report

this is like table dump

you can use filters also,,
