ABAP Editor question...

When I am viewing any type of program in SE38, and I want to drill down into a subroutine/data element etc... it will take me to the corresponding screen the first time, but then when I go back and wish to drill down into another particular piece of code, it will return me to the first item I drilled down into upon opening the report, and it makes it very difficult to navigate the program. If anyone has a solution to this please share, it's frustrating.

click on utilities-> display navigation window. This window will keep on updating. Double click on the location you want to go directly without drill down.
