There is no need to specially 'activate' SSO in case of server-side. The integration will prompt the user for credentials (prompting for SSO) once you provide the EWS URL.
The patch is currently deployed on TEST tenants and we are monitoring the systems for verification. Based on the results, we plan to deploy the patch to PROD tenants today/tomorrow.
