Material shortage date on md04

Hi everyone,

On md04, when I entered a material number then chose the field requirement and stock, the material shortage date is 11 Apr 2022 but the planning department said that the shortage date they put on system is 13 Apr, then the system minus 2 days so the shortage date I can see on md04 is 11 Apr. The number of days the system minus is based on set-up

So can you let me know if the system automatically minus the 2 days or 3 days depending on the set-up, right? Because I don't really understand this function.
