I want to see if anyone is experiencing the same frustration or has a potential solution.
We see that Story report is pulling up incorrect output for "Completion Percentage". The response that we received from the SAP team on Incident raised for this issue was that the discrepancy between "Completion Percentage" value in Story report and Employee Profile is an expected behavior. KBA note 3260246 was created identifying this issue as a problem.
We are being told that the story report result of profile percentage is based on current database value. When you access Employee Profile (PP3) page, it will calculate real time the profile percentage and save the latest percentage into database. That's why the displayed values are inconsistent and the value will refresh after go to PP3 page. But this does not seem like a reasonable long-term solution.
We are being told that keeping the percentage value of all users up to date will consume a lot of computing resources, so the gap of story report and PP3 page is current expect behavior.
The answer from SAP is not sufficient.
We need a report showing the latest profile completion percentage. HRBP's and managers need to be able to report on this data in order to identify and inform individuals through communication to complete their profiles. Possibility for generating Ad Hoc reports with the latest (correct) "Completion Percentage" field as reportable is really needed for better HR report activity.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Have you been able to achieve a workaround / solution? Have you explored any other options to get this data? Would highly appreciate your ideas.
