Change to Succession Rating Scale for Readiness - approach and impacts?

Hi There,

Our organization is considering to make an update to our Readiness Rating Scale.  At the moment, we have a 3 point scale and looking to update to a 4 point scale.  

Going from:

3-5 Years

1-2 Years

Ready Now

To:

3-5 Years

2-3 Years

1-2 Years

Ready Now

Our question is has anyone made a change to their Readiness Rating Scale? What were some of the challenges with doing this?  Any other considerations to make (i.e. what to do with the existing nominations with the old scale.  Update existing or clear them and start with a clean slate)?

Hi @DnC5,

 If there is a need to add a new Readiness between two existing values, this has an impact to the existing nominations of the instance. I would suggest to create a report first before doing any changes.

 There are configuration that you need to do in adding readiness values. One is the picklist, second is rating scale and third is the Org Chart Configuration. I would recommend to do a testing first in your test instance before you apply it in PROD.
