Hi ,

Recently I was going through MDI Guide. It says -

MDI runs on AWS and MDI Service runs on Cloud Foundry.

My understanding is MDI acts as a Replication Engine and MDO acts as Config component under One Domain Model. Please clarify the difference here.

Regards,

Niladri

Hello Niladri

SAP Master Data Integration is available as a multi-tenant reusable service on SAP BTP.

To connect a S/4 System to SAP Master Data Integration service, it needs credentials.

Credentials can be generated service key on a service instance.

This Service Key Credentials (Secret key) are used to connect the source and target system to BTP MDI.

SAP MDO is a separate BTP Service which works along with MDI.

MDO has Replication models which has Pull or Push options to send or receive master data from/to other client systems.

Please check below help Links for detailed info.
