I was initially wondering if this would work without Event Reason Derivation, so already happy that it does (almost no customers use it)!
I was wondering something else though. You give the employee or manager the chance to freely select start dates, which could result in new records that can start anywhere in the month. For instances that integrate with Payroll that's often unwanted as it can cause splits in payroll calculations.
Is there a way to mitigate that? Or is the go to, like currently is the case in the UI on People Profile, to capure this with business rules and/or a workflow approval to HR (having them edit the workflow and correct the date)?
This is definitely one of the most welcome developments in years in EC. Looking forward to diving in and learning more. Really looking forward to position quick actions, which I believe we were told at SuccessConnect would be in the next release.
