SAP Spatial Asset Management is a new product which combines the capabilities of Linear Asset Management (LAM) and Geographical Enablement Framework (GEF). As part of the 2021 FPS1 (Private Cloud Edition), following innovations are delivered:
- Inheriting the geometry from technical object (Functional Location / Equipment) to Maintenance Notifications - Manual creation, creating via BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_CREATE, create from a maintenance call
- Inheriting the geometry from technical object (Functional Location / Equipment) to Maintenance Orders - Manual creation, creating via BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN, create from a maintenance call
- Copy geometry from notification to order
- Copy geometry from reference notification when a maintenance notification is created from a reference notification
- Copy geometry from reference order when a maintenance order is created from a reference order
Note:
- System copies the geometry from the assigned functional location of an equipment on to the notification / order if a geometry is unavailable for an equipment. However, system doesn't navigate along the equipment hierarchy or functional location hierarchy for a geometry
- System copies the geometry of all the reference objects (notifications / functional locations / equipment) in the object list on to the maintenance order
