Hi Gurus,
I need to explore how can we send marketing mailers directly using a list of Email IDs maintained in an excel file from SAP Marketing Cloud?
The challenge here is that there should not be a need to create Contacts (Business Partners) corresponding to these E-mail IDs in the SAP Marketing Cloud.
Please share your inputs on how can this be achieved.
Thanks,
Hitesh Khandelwal
Hi Hitesh,
Even though its not the right way , But I just want to let you know we have a concept of Seed List
Seed List and Contact for Personalization - SAP Help Portal
to send emails to list of Emails which are not part of the Contact list.

Hi Hitesh,
I agree with Dean. I'm not aware of any functionality to do that.
What is your use case behind? Do you still want to create the email in SAP Marketing Cloud and execute a campaign? Why don't you want to create contacts? How do you want to track the performance of your mailing?
Maybe you can elaborate a little bit more on what you are trying to do and why and we could find the best way to achieve that with SAP Marketing Cloud.

Hi Tobias,
We have a requirement where-in higher level managers want to send some customer feedback mails or informational messages to a list of individuals who were say just part of an event & are not Customers of the client. Neither they would anytime be customers of the client ever.
We just need to send mails to a list of email IDs & then track the same for just a short period of time & then it's fine to not have the data in the long run.
Hi hitesh.khandelwal,
okay I understand. Then I would also suggest to go the way mentioned by Dean and create an origin which is only used for that Contacts with that purpose.
Then you could work with a triggerbased campaign and Interactions of type EVENT_ATTENDED e.g. and import maybe a specific comment together with the interaction.
In that way it will be easy at a later point in time to filter our all of these Contacts and their Interactions within Segmentation and build a live target group to delete these Contacts again.

Hi hitesh.khandelwal
This is an interesting one - SMC is foundationally based on Contacts. This is the way the system is built to show linked data (content studio attributes etc too) and interactions. This is how SMC is actually billed by SAP... in blocks of contacts records. So with that alone in mind I would say probably unlikely you can achieve this
However, what you could potentially do is create the list of customers in a specific origin or with a data differentiator then execute the campaign for email delivery. Once complete, simply delete those contacts (and more than likely all linked Interactions)
Interested to see other responses on a way around this
Cheers
