Unable to cancel PR release

Hi, we have encountered a problem with cancelling the release of Purchase Requisition. This PR has several items for which PO and GR/IR have been created, for other items PO has not been created. We need to cancel the release of this PR in order to edit the cost of items that do not have PO. The system is set up so that even if there has been created a PO and further GR/IR we are able to cancel the release of PR and edit it (works for any other PR except for this particular one). When trying to cancel release of PR in ME54N the following message is displayed:

MEPO801 Processing state does not allow cancellation of release

Does anyone know how can we cancel release of this PR?
