Hi ,

Currently i am using RBPD in solman 7.1 SP08 version, during the content upload and create analysis i am getting the below screen, but i am not sure abt the specifc parameter usage .

In Content upload the below screen shows usage of Check Rules ( Check iteam and check steps)

1. The number shown in the screen what it represent?

2. Exclude logical component without steps check box usage ?

What is the usage of Analysis Result

1. Include identifying check items

2. Include informative check items

3. Threshold : 1 ?

Also i have check the below blog, but it show generic details only

Hi Karthik,

Analysis Results are based on Check steps; you can call them 'rules' which define 'what to analyze'. In the standard example given it is defined as "to analyze which FI documents are being created in the analyzed period youhave to define an SQL statement that finds data in the relevant FI tables (BSEG, BKPF, etc) for this period." So here the Check Step scans the relevant FI tables and gives you the output on what type of FI Documents are being used. So you can call them as some set of rules provided in the RBPD content to come up with Analysis Results. In a bigger picture; the RBPD Content provided by SAP is nothing but a repository of 'Check Steps(Rules)'  which help us identifying a Check Item so that we can have a human readable Business Process Structure node in the Analysis.

Now about Check Items; Check items are the objects(Transactions, reports.. etc)  included in the Analysis. The Check Items are obtained from the grouping of Check Steps (Rules). For example one of the Analysis shows the VA01 transaction usage in one of the system. Now this conclusion is arrived after firing several Check Steps (Rules) at this object(Check Items).

About Identifying/Informative Check Items: There are 2 types of Check Items; basically Check Items of type 'Identifying' determine the rating of the analysis node (Green/Yellow/Red). ‘Informative Checks Items’ are optional checks that don‟t contribute to read the tree path of the BPR (objects that are assigned to the Analysis Project). These Check Items only provide information and do not influence the rating in an Analysis. So basically a 'Nice To Have' have Check Items.

Hope this helps.

Vivek

Hi Vivek,

Thanks for info.

Any idea abt Check Rules and Exclude logical component without steps in first screen and Object usage - not in analysis ?

As I mentioned Check Rules are nothing but Check Steps+Check Items.

The logical component exclusion part is tricky; the customer business process might span multiple logical components(like ECC, SRC, CRM, SCM) also it sometime run on other logical components like CPROJECt SUITE or SAP BANKING SUITE for which no Check Steps available in the content.

So instead of showing this result as grey we can chose to exclude them in the begining itself. Also in the next step you still get options to exclude using the "Included?" table check box.

Object Usage Not in Analysis - field refers to Custom Transactions, Custom Reports which are not part of Analysis Project.

A. by selecting Objects under "Not Used Customer Objects", Custom Objects that exist in the managed system and which have not been used in the analyzed period will be available in the "Analysis‟.

B.by selecting Objects under "Used Objects‟, Custom and Standard Objects that exist in the managed system and which have been used in the analyzed period will be available in the "Analysis‟.

If nothing is selected under the "Object Usage Not in Analysis‟ tab, in the "Analysis Results‟ no information will be shown later on in the Analysis

Hope that is what you are looking for.

Cheers,

Vivek
