How to use IDOC as a source in BODS batch job? Please provide in details including properties should be mentioned for IDOC source. Thanks in advance.

Only IDoc file sources are supported in batch. IDoc message sources are not.

Thanks for sharing the links. I alreday had a look on those links (also some other posts related to this topic) but my requirement is to use IDOC as a source for BATCH job (not in real-time job). Could you please kindly share the process to use IDOC as a source for BATCH job. Thanks again.

As Dirk mentioned IDOC messages cannot be used as a source in Batch jobs.

Below is an excerpt from SAP Supplement Guide

In Data Services, an IDoc can be used as a source or target object in a batch or real-time job. An Idoc can be processed as a message or as a file, however the only limitation is that batch jobs cannot process IDoc messages as sources.

In batch job data flows, IDoc file sources can hold one file or many individual files (to be processed at a later time).

Hi Arun,

In my batch job I am using IDOC file as a source and provided the file generated from SAP (tcode WE63) but I am getting below error message

" Processing the IDoc from the file <G:/BODS/Batch_files/89d9448_1754HTML000003.xml> failed because Data Services no longer supports its format. Regenerate the IDoc file in SAP and replace the file."

I tried with some xml file related to the same IDOC (ORDERS05) structure but getting the same error. Please find the attached screenshots related to the dataflow. Please let me know if I am missing anything here. Thanks in advance.
