Hi,

Is there a command to (de)activate the redo log management on commandline? I cannot find it in the documentation. With the gui I can do it.

Thanks,

Christian

Hi Christian,

in DBMGUI if you select istance, show console, you can track all commands sent via DBMGUI interface.

In this case, the command should be the following, as I see on my console (try first on a test installation)

util_execute SET LOG WRITER OFF

Regards,

Valerio

Hello Christian,

please be VERY carefull with this command as it is pretty likely that you don't fully understand what you're doing there.

Check out my blog [Questions to SAP-Support (MaxDB): "Data is gone after reboot - where the heck is it?"|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/15412] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]; on this point and check whether this function really is the right choice for you.
