Commit work and wait in $batch odata call

Hi,

I have inserted some data in DB with modify DB statement in create method of odata, now in same method, i want to use these DB entries for further processing. I have put 'commit work and wait' statement after the DB updation but this create method is called multiple time in $batch request of odata form FIORI UI. So the batch call is failing. Can someone give the solution?
