Introduction

This blog is part of the blogs series for the new “Test Suite Dashboard” delivered as part of Focused Build SP10 delivery. This blog focuses on the detail pages of the dashboard.

Pre-requisite

Please go through the first blog and second blog of the series:

Understanding The New “Test Suite Dashboard” | SAP Blogs

Test Suite Dashboard – Overview Page | SAP Blogs

Test Suite Dashboard-Detail Pages

The header of the card in overview pages have navigation enabled to their respective detail page. The details pages give deep and better insights for analysis, comprising of view building, various chart representations, sharing/export mechanisms, adapt filtering and user interactive chart and table data visualization. A detail page has filter bar with a chart and table view.

Please refer to the Smart Chart and Smart Table documentation to understand in detail how these controls behave.

Variant Management

Different views or filter combinations can be saved using the Variant Management feature.

Select some dimensions and measures from chart, required columns from table, maintain sort and group settings, set some filters and click on drop down next to “Standard *”.

Click on “Save As.” Rest of the process is same as in Overview Pages. The “Manage” feature is also similar.

Note: When we navigate from Overview Page to Detail Page, filters applied on the overview page are passed to the detail page overriding the filters saved in the default view.

Adapt Filters

Every detail page provides an extra set of filters to limit/enhance the result set. These filters can be configured via the Adapt Filters button.

Taking an example from Test Status detail page, click on Adapt Filters and then More Filters.

The list of filters is visible here.

Once the Go Button is pressed, the test case priority and type filter will be applied on both chart and table result set.
