Issue:
The Inbound delivery failure with error “no document type found for delivery type from system” is caused because of the configuration document type for the Delivery type is missing.
Resolution Steps:
Step1: Create STO - Use transaction code ME21N to create a Stock Transfer Order.
Step2: Create Outbound Delivery - Use transaction code VL10B.
Go to the Purchase Order tab, enter the Purchasing Document number, and execute.
The outbound delivery will be created and sent to EWM.
Step3:
Confirm Warehouse Order:
Use transaction code /N/SCWM/PRDO to navigate to the outbound delivery and confirm the warehouse order.
Perform the Post Goods Issue.
Step4:
Generate Inbound Delivery:
An inbound delivery is automatically created once PGI is completed for the outbound delivery.
Step5:
Resolve Inbound Queue Error:
If the inbound delivery is stuck in the queue with the EWM error “No document type found for delivery type from system,” check the EWM system configuration.
Step6:
Update Configuration:
Ensure that the document type is configured for Delivery type in EWM.
Step7: Reprocess Inbound Queue:
Reprocess the inbound queue using the designated transaction code.
Step8:
Distribute Inbound Delivery to EWM:
Use /N/SCWM/PRDI to view the distributed inbound delivery.
Conclusion:
This solution resolves the Inbound delivery failure with error “no document type found for delivery type from system” by ensuring proper configuration in the EWM system.
