Ariba - Supplier registration approval flow still going to wrong approver

Hello. We have suppliers in various stages of the supplier registration. We made a change to the approval flow.

The flow was: Approver A > Approver B > Approver C

We changed so that if question 4 of the supplier registration was no then Approver B was not needed. It would then be Approver A > Approver C.

We are still seeing some registrations flow to Approver B even though question 4 is no.

Is the issue that perhaps those were already at a certain stage (already invited for example) before the change so the flow was "locked in" with the old approval flow?

Hello Cheryl,

Let's say that your approval flow Approver A > Approver B > Approver C is in your registration template with VERSION 1.0

Then you made a change (conditional on question#4) and that changed your template to VERSION 2.0

All suppliers that have been previously invited to register would be created using VERSION 1.0, thus inheriting the old approval flow. You would need to perform TEMPLATE UPGRADE to bring all eligible suppliers to VERSION 2 (please see - Template Upgrade)

After the suppliers have been upgraded, you should be able to see the new approval flow.

Please note, not all suppliers will be eligible for Template Upgrade - refer to documentation for limitations.

Thank you for confirming Chirag. We are going to do the template upgrade to resolve this and some other issues we're having with versions.
