If you face the error message EL-592 while performing Simulation from EASIM using Simulation Scenario Category as 'Simulation Period with Rate Category Comparison' then please read ahead.
Issue
When you try to simulate a billing period using Simulation Workbench transaction EASIM where you use Simulation Scenario which has 'Simulation Period with Rate Category Comparison' as Simulation Scenario category, you get the below error message:
Function module ISU_MRRESULT_DEMARCATE: Prorated consumption not within valid range
Message: EL592
Diagnosis
Due to the specified date ranges, the interpolated consumption value must be between the consumption value at the start and the consumption value at the end. This is not the case here.
The cause of this error is internal, and is probably due to errors that occurred during transfer of the parameters.
Procedure
Contact SAP.
Root Cause
This error is due to a program error in standard SAP where it fetches the historical meter reads and assumes that quantity determination is active in the meter reading.

Implement the SAP Note 2127534 - EASIM: EL-592 Consumption not in validity area
