Materialnumber search with *

Hi all

we have an problem with ECTR 5.1. We have actual this version

When we start searching an material, we must add * in front

Do you have also the problem. How can we solve this ?

Because internally the material numbers are stored with leading zeros.

Maybe it is a LAMA/DIMP/MPN - system. Then you can try to upload this pref:

SAP.PLM.MATERIAL.CONVRANGE2INTERN = true 

Add it to default.txt and upload it with the Admin - Menu. Then try again.

To remove the pref you can define it like that:

!SAP.PLM.MATERIAL.CONVRANGE2INTERN = true 

And start the upload again, then it will be removed.

Hello Ulrich,

die you try the search in ECTR 5.2? The search changed in the newer release and you can search without leading "*".

5.1 is out of maintenance since end of 2021.

In 5.2 there are also other improvements for search, like the new quick search.
