Issue with Item Subcategory selection

HI All,

I have an issue. I am using PPM 6.0 with ECC6 & EHP7. Its a sandbox server where I am trying to configure the PPM system.

During the process I have configured the Item Categories & related Subcategories in the node Portfolio Item Settings>> Define Portfolio Item Categories. E.g I have created 0001 IT as category under which subcategories are as followed.

0001    Server Infrastructure

0002    Hardware Configuration

0003    Test Sub Cat.

I understand this is the only place where we configure for the item categories. But now when I go to UI & check for the drop-down in the Classification tab, the Category is available for selection, but Subcategory is not available for selection at all.

If I try to check the same in Item template, the Subcategory drop down values are available.

Can anybody guide me what could be the reason for this issue? If someone has experienced the similar issue!

Your configurations seems ok to me. Please refer note 1949091 see if it helps.
