Unable to change batch during GR

There are 2 scenarios. We want to know why it is not possible to modify Batch number in Scenario 2.

Scenario 1: We create intercompany STO but do not specify Batch in Material Data tab of STO Item. We then create delivery using VL10B and put in a Batch and then Post GI. When we now do GR wrt Outbound Del through MIGO, it is possible to change batch.

Scenario 2: Same as scenario 1 except that we specify the Batch in Material Data tab of STO Item itself. We then create delivery using VL10B and keep the batch and then Post GI. When we now do GR wrt Outbound Del though MIGO, it is NOT possible to change batch.

Kindly advise why system is not allowing to change the batch in Scenario 2 also, i.e. when Batch is entered during STO itself.

Its a standard functionality once you assign the batch in PO, the same will be transfered in MIGO during GR processing.

If you want to overwrite this batch then you need to change the batch in PO before OBD creation or you need use some exit in migo to overite the batch.
