Result recording status

Hi Guru,

Please suggest me how to proceed below requirement.

Result recording characteristic over view screen in status field how  “4” (SKIP) and “9” (Blocked for evaluation) what is the use of these status, in what state it can be updated by system.

The status 4 - skipped is determined by the system when  you use dynamic modification at the characteristic level.  This functionality allows QM to allow certain characteristics to be skipped under certain conditions.  To record a value for a skipped characteristic you first select it and then click on the button icon that looks like an unlocked padlock.

I've never encountered a status 9 myself.  I can only guess one of two things:

1 - statistics are not updated for this characteristic.  OR

2 - the MIC is a full reference MIC and is marked as blocked.   The blocked status than carries over into any inspections plans where the MIC is used. 

I'm betting on guess 2 but you'd have to test it.

I am not able to find the blocked status in MIC. Can you please elaborate. I am able to see only status

“Being created”

“Released”

“Can no longer be used”

“Deletion flag”

“Archived”

"Can no longer be used" would be block it's use.  But I am only guessing that this results in that status of 9.  I've never run across that.
