The IDOC view is just a parameter in the WE20 partner profile. But not all applications do make use of this. It is mainly being used in IDOC's on master data but les or not for IDOC's on transactional data. What is the application or IDOC type you are using? This might not support or not make use of IDOC view.
Actually there are multiple segment under E1MARCM which we do not need to send to interface. and these data are just increasing volume of data due to which middle ware server is facing issue. Thus i wanted to restrict these segments via view.
