For batch management all the stock should be zero.
Because of previous period stock, system is not allowing you to do batch management.
please do the following activity.
1) Make the current stock of SLOC as same as previous stock by uploading through mb1c 561 mvt. with posting period as current period .
2) Now the current = previous stock.
3) Now do mb1c ----> 562 mvt ------> remove same stock as you uploaded & keep posting period as previous period.
4) Now stock will be ZERO in both the period.
5) Now Activate the Batch Management tab from purchasing view in material master MM02.
Now we have to upload the previous stock as it was earlier.
6) Upload the stock which was removed from the previous period by mb1c----> 561 mvnt-----> keeping posting period as previous period. ( assign the batch )
7) Now current stock = previous stock.
😎 again remove stock from the current period by mb1c----> 562 mvt-------> posting date as current date.
Hence your material will be batch managed & stock condition will remain same as it was earlier.
( need bit of concentration while doing above said activity.

Hi,
You can specify in the production scheduling profile if batches will be created when the production order is released or created. Production scheduling profile is customized under Production->Shop Floor Control->Master Data, transaction code is OPKP. After creating a new profile you need to assign the profile to materials. You might as well assign the profile to production schedulers and assign production schedulers to materials.
Regards.
