Intrastat: You cannot change a declaration with status "Released", but no release has taken place.

When trying to run select the dispatches for Intrastat report using transaction code VE01, the following error appears:

"You cannot change a declaration with status Released"
The error is shown even though the declaration status is "In Progress" and not released yet.
As a consequence, it's not possible to select any dispatches at all.

Hi Alfredo,

please check if the following information (SAP FAQ for Intrastat in S/4) helps solving your problem:

Error message "you cannot change a declaration with status released" or "The declaration cannot be modified with status released" is raised in Intrastat job.

When job is run, it picks up the dispatch and receipt. Once there is a declaration released for a period (Dispatch, for example) the job cannot be executed the job for the other one (Receipt). You can cancel the released status of the dispatch and rerun again.

I have followed those steps and I was able to continue processing my Intrastat.
