Hi All,
In REM we have simulated the same scenarios in two systems in Sandbox when we execute MD04 the planned order with order type LA are showed with the description as planned order numbe/LA * Eg 1202382654/LA * and for PE planned order numbe/RS *.
Where as in othe system QA and Production it is displayed as planned order numbe/LA *. and planned order numbe/PE * respectively.
I could not find any settings in the system where we can maintain the description of planned order type and how it should display in MD04.Though technically it does not make the difference but still I want to know which settings are making the differance.
Thanks
Ankush
Dear,
Please check the setting of OPU5 if you have defined Planned Order type PE ( Run Schedule Quantity) then your order type will be PE. also you should have Production version marked as REM Relevant in MRP4 view.

Ankush, Have a look at T457P table.
There is the Order type PE which is associated with an external order type RS for EN language.
When the language is DE, PE is with PE. Looks like a language-specific issue.
(Again to be specific the Ext.Order type field is the one that gets displayed in the MRP element data description of MD04.
The default display is RS as per the table data in screenshot. If you change, for EN language, the value of RS is changed as PE, the same gets displayed as PE in the MD04 display. The Order type remains PE in both cases).
For checking purposes you can change the table entry in your sandbox and can see the differences.
Do update us of your observations.
