Dear Gurus,

Can you guys please tell me what is the importance of object management record tick mark in engineering change management?

How does it effect engineering change management function.If possible please elaborate with an example as i am not able to understand the concept.

I want to know how does object management record tick in object type effect objects?

i have gone through sap help but not able to understand the concept.

Please explain with an example.

Dear Sameer,

I think you are talking about automatic generation of management record indicator on object type screen in engineering change number.If you set this indicator for objects like material than object management record are automatically created for the object at the time of creating revision level oterwise you have to manually assign objects you are changing to change number on object tab of change number.

Without setting this indicator and assigning object to change number if you try to change material with this change number than system wont allow and give an error message.
