A couple of weeks back I Create your own drink for ByDesign about how ByDesign was designed from the ground up in close cooperation with user.
I also mentioned that we recently opened our new ideas forum to foster this co-innovation together with current customers and partner: Current ByDesign users can share their ideas on how to improve ByDesign and everybody on vote for good ideas or comment on it.
The upcoming feature pack 3.5 (release scheduled for end of January) will provide the first ideas submitted by customers directly through the ideas forum and I will post more details once it’s been released.
Nevertheless I wanted to share one story with you already today:
About 2 weeks ago one of our customers entered an idea to export project plans to Microsoft to be able to share it easily with their customers. Our partner IBIS already developed an add-on for ByDesign that allows you to download multiple projects into a project portfolio overview to MS Excel. This of course also works only for one specific project plan. So one of the employees of IBIS responded to the idea, leading the customers who voted for the idea directly to the solution on the SAP Store, hopefully solving the customers' need.
For more details on the solution from IBIS, check out their video on YouTube.
I am convinced that this is a great example of how we will be able to bring value to our customers in a even faster way than the core 6 months release cycles of ByDesign: With the help of our partner ecosystem!
