Hi,
we were asked the following points and I can't find any explanations about it. Maybe you can help me.
1. File-Attachments of Opportunity: These are always copied into every follow up activity like phone calls. Is there any way to deactivate this? It would be more useful other way around - if the attachments of the follow up activities are shown in the opportunity
2. Opportunity Timeline: Why are the connected mails of Opportunity not visible in the Timeline tab? Is this standard behaviour or do we miss some settings here?
Thanks & Regards
Stefan Schmitt, FIS
Hi Stefan
Both your questions are expected system behavior based on out-of-the-box features. Please ref the below comments
1.The attachments of an opportunity getting transferred to follow-up activities is the expected system behavior.
As workaround, you can remove the attachment in the newly created activity by clicking on the delete button in the 'Actions' column.
You can refer the below mentioned SAP Note which is related to this requirement
2573028 - The Attachments Of An Opportunity Are Transferred To Follow-Up Activities
2. In standard,Email activity is not part of opportunity activity timeline.
Even,The Activity Timeline fine-tuning activity only allows us to activate/deactivate an existing activity (Task, Appointment, Phone Call, Visit) and marking them as internal /external. It does not allow us to add a new Activity which is not already available. This is the reason why the 'Add Row' is not offered out-of-the-box.
You can refer the below mentioned SAP Note which is related to this requirement
2624164 - You Cannot Add The Email Activity to The Opportunity Activity Timeline in Fine Tuning
