Hi Fred,

Are you able to ping to the IP address of the SAP application server (Host). If not then check with your Network Administrator, I feel your VPN connection is not working properly.

Hi Fred,

your Firewall administrator should have a look at the logfiles and eventualy should sniff the network traffic with Ethereal.

Hi Fred,

The Firewall I was taking about was not the one at your end but the one in the destination i.e. the work place to which you are trying to connect.

Can you please tell me

1. Have you informed the administrator of VPN to which you want to connect to?

2. Has it been approved and the administrator has given you the technical settings details and the user id and password to connect to the VPN?

3. Are you able to connect to the internet using your router?

Yes, I m able to connect to the VPN server so I think that the problem it s not related to VPN!

But when I stard sap, I get the time out error before the "connecting..." window!!!

Thanks for helpe!

Hi Fred,

That's the problem you are not getting connected to the SAP server. Please consult with your Network Administrator regarding the same. Hope he has not trust your system in the firewall to allow the connection.

Hi Fred,

have you asked your VPN Administrator if they had allowed the required ports for SAP to be allowed with the VPN Client and the Corporate Firewall?

Hi Gregor,

For other user it's work fine from the first time! Except me!

I disable antivirus, Windows Firewall, Microsoft AntiSpayware ...

I wonder if it's related to my windows release! (XP Pro Fr SP2)

Fred
