Hi,
When a message is picked by your communication channel, it uses the Sender Agreement details to bind the message to a particular Busines Service , Message Interface and Namespace and these details are used in the Pipeline Services of XI to identify the receiver and so on.
Sender agreement is associated with a sender adapter and receiver agreement is associated with a receiver adapter.
Receiver agreement is used the Tehcnical Routing stage of XI pipeline to identify which adapter is to be used to send a message from the Integration Engine to the target application.

Sender agreement -> it involves your sending system, your corresp. interface and the communicaion channel through which you are pulling data into XI.
Recv. Agr. -> This involves your sending system, receiving sys, the corresp. interface and the communicaion channel through which you are sending data out of XI.
thus this forms a rule for XI to pick/send messages from/to a system.

hi,

you use sender agreement to define how the message of a sender is to be transformed so it can processed by the IE
the receiver does the same for the receiver
(you specify sender channel for sender agr and
receiver channel for receiver)
that's all:)
