SAPSCRIPT - apostrophe to # Symbol

Hi,

We are getting one strange issue.

In Customer Master, we have apostrophe like "Children's Fund". When we print it, it is shown as "Children#s Fund".

How to avoid without coding the in the SAPscript? We are using the standard function mdoules to read the data.

I am not sure what function module you are using or the variables you have defined.

We have several customers with apostrophes in the name (Fred's Store, Bob's Shop, etc). The apostrophe shows in our printed output.

I just created a quick test. In the ABAP print program, I selected the name into KNA1-NAME1. In the SAPscript, I printed &KNA1-NAME1&. The apostrophe is showing.

Is this SAPscript in EN language?

Is it a standard printer and device type?

Is the ABAP program changing any of the data? Can you check the name variable in the ABAP debugger before the WRITE_FORM?

I wonder if it is a problem with the master data.

Is it a " ' " or a " ` ".

One is an apostrophe and one is a "grave accent". Some character sets may not recognize the latter and will print "#".

I think the values are ASCII 39 or 96.

Find a customer with this issue and check the master data.

Hi Norman,

Somewhat we looked the issue in different approach based on your suggestion.

In the Name field we had removed the apostrophe and again we changed to the same apostrophe. Now the system is showing as it is from the Master.

On 08/13, it was showing with # and Now there is no # .
