SAP PORTAL 7.0 SPS11 ISSUE WITH LDAP (AD)

Dear Portal specialists,

We recently upgraded to EP 7 SPS11 from SPS10.

In SPS10,the TEST CONNECTION & TEST AUTHENTICATION was working OK.

Now in SPS11,TEST CONNECTION is OK but

TEST AUTHENTICATION is NOT working.

We get a message "authentication failed : unprocesss continuation Reference(s)"

After re-starting SAP EP,we can see only the OUs not the groups from active directory.

However the users inside the groups are available .

AD = ADS2003.

OS = UNIX.

How do we fix this issue.

The above links tell you about the problem and it's solution but it's not specific to SAP. The solution is that you need to create a new environment variable using "Name" as "java.naming.referral" and fill in "Value" as "follow".

But I would suggest you to raise a SAP Support Message and let SAP suggest a solution.

I changed the hier to FLAT and cleared the cache and now I can see the groups.

However if I now assign a role to that group,the users in that group DONT get that role when they login.

Also I changed he pwd of a user from LDAP now I cannot login

Appreciate any inputs.
