SAP BW 7.4 with SAP Data Services 4.0

Is anyone aware of integration issue while loading or retrieving  data from SAP BW 7.4? We are planning to use SAP Business Objects Data Services 4.0. If there are any know issues did SAP address this in 4.1 or/and 4.2?

Hi,

I don't see  NW BW 7.4 release mentioned in the PAM in any of the Data Services current versions so I don't think it's supported. Please verify the supported platform document first.

we are using BW 7.3 together with BODS 4.1 but regarding the release notes the changes in 7.4 are focusing on HANA Integration and the extension of the maximun possible text length (actually 60).

I think there should be no issues with 7.4.

Comparing release 7.0 to 7.3 the integration of BODS in BW is much better now. BODS is available now as an own datasource so you can use BW infopackages to start the data transfer directly from BW.

There are some tutorials on this website how to integrate BODS with BW.
